About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse to join their highly regarded Perioperative Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent full-time position within a leading private hospital known for clinical excellence, advanced facilities, and a supportive, team-focused culture.

The operating theatre complex comprises seven operating theatres (including a Hybrid Vascular Theatre), a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, three Procedure Rooms, and a fully equipped Central Sterilising Supply Department (CSSD).

The department supports a broad and diverse surgical caseloads.

As a Scrub/Scout RN, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care, working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience as a Scrub/Scout RN
  • Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative standards, infection control, and sterile technique
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining annual competencies
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster

Desirable

  • Experience within the private hospital sector
  • Exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties
  • Participation in quality improvement or clinical governance initiatives
